For veterans

Massage therapy you’ve earned — and the VA covers.

If you’re enrolled in VA health care, you may be able to get medical massage at no cost to you through the Community Care Network. Here’s how it works, start to finish.

The process

Three steps to your first visit.

  1. Step 01

    Ask your VA provider

At your next appointment, let your VA primary care provider know you’d like to try massage therapy through Community Care. They’ll put in the referral request.

  2. Step 02

The VA sends us your referral

Approved referrals come straight to us from the VA. We check for new referrals every day, so yours won’t sit in a queue.

  3. Step 03

    We reach out to schedule

We’ll call to set up your first visit at the clinic you choose. Or skip the wait — call or text us first and we’ll walk you through the whole thing.

What a visit feels like

Calm, private, and focused on you.

A medical massage appointment isn’t rushed. Your therapist takes time to understand what’s going on — an old injury, chronic pain, tension that won’t let go — and builds the session around it.

Sessions are one-on-one in a quiet treatment room. You’ll talk through your goals, then get hands-on work tailored to your body. Many of our veterans come in for ongoing care, not a one-time fix — steady support that helps you move and feel better over time.

  • You choose your clinic and your therapist.
  • You set the pace — more or less pressure, any time.
  • We track your sessions and handle the VA paperwork.

Not sure where to start?

You don’t need to have everything figured out. Call or text (385) 831-1204 and we’ll tell you exactly what to ask your VA provider and what happens next.

Are you a referral coordinator?

Questions

Common questions.

What does it cost?

If the VA has approved you for Community Care and your provider has given you a referral, there’s no cost to you — your visits are billed directly to the VA. You just need an active referral on file. We handle the paperwork with the VA and TriWest, so there’s nothing for you to file.

I already have a referral — what now?

Call or text us at (385) 831-1204 and we’ll get you scheduled. You pick the clinic and the therapist.

Can I pick my clinic and my therapist?

Yes. We’re one group practice, so you can be seen by any of our therapists at any of our locations. Choose the clinic closest to you and the therapist you’re most comfortable with — and switch anytime.

What happens at a visit?

Your therapist will review the diagnosis code from your VA primary care provider’s referral, then talk through what hurts and your goals for the session. From there you’ll get focused, hands-on medical massage — deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial and stretching work, adapted to what your body needs and your comfort level. It’s a calm, private, respectful appointment. You’re in control the whole time, and you can ask for more or less pressure at any point.

How many sessions do I get?

Most referrals include 12 sessions of massage therapy, and we’ll help you keep track of them. If the massage is helping with your pain, we can request an additional referral from the VA when it’s appropriate — so your care doesn’t get interrupted.

What should I bring?

Plan on bringing a pair of shorts to each appointment — athletic shorts are ideal, but any pair is fine. Women should also bring a sports bra. That lets your therapist do focused, hands-on work while you stay comfortable and covered.
